The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is an international, non-profit organization founded in 1966.
CARF's mission is to provide accreditation standards and surveyors for organizations working in the human-services field worldwide. Among the many areas of practice represented in the CARF standards, IMLKS was surveyed in our Supported Living as well as Community Integration programs. CARF has been accrediting in Canada since 1969. Over 6600 organizations and over 49,000 programs are accredited internationally.
Accreditation is an accountability and quality improvement process. Achieving accreditation status is an international movement that is continually expanding. To be initially accredited a program or organization must demonstrate a minimum of six months where they use and implement the applicable CARF standards and the direct provision of services to persons served. In order to keep up with accreditation standards the agency has to be able demonstrate compliance to all applicable standards for the 3 year period.
We are very proud to announce as of April 2018 IMLKS received a three year accreditation from CARF International.
