At It’s My Life Kamloops Society, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members. We provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to help our staff learn, grow, and deliver the highest quality person-centered care.
Our training programs include CPI, diversity and inclusion, diabetes care, dementia support, gender diversity education, and a variety of other professional development opportunities tailored to enhance the skills and knowledge of our team.

All new board members complete the governance training offered by the City of Kamloops.
We are continually seeking additional, relevant training opportunities to support our board members in their roles and ensure effective, informed governance.

When creating care plans, we consider each person’s strengths and challenges, cultural and spiritual beliefs, interests, goals, and personal choices. These factors guide the development of an individualized support plan. As individuals grow and change, their plans are continually updated, ensuring that the services we provide remain flexible, dynamic, and truly person-centered.
